THE SUN
This week in learning time, we talked about the sun. We know from when we studied the planets that the sun is a star. With further discussion among the Tigers, we also determined that the sun is hot, bright, has fire, and explodes. Sunshine is nice and warm. The sun is good for the planet and helps us all to grow. Without the sun, we would not survive.
The Horses learned a new song about the colors of the rainbow. Without the sun, there would be no rainbows. They made rainbow pictures and colorful rainbow necklaces out of cereal. They also made special gifts for Mommy and Daddy for International Family Day.
We can write sun words!
And draw the sun
We're just learning how to write, so sometimes
we put all the words right after each other...
But we can do it!
Coloring the sun and a rainbow
Mika crafts his hand-drawn sun
We cut out orange circles and glued on
rectangles and triangles to make suns
These are called the sun's "rays"
Wow! Look at Joshua's masterpiece!

See? We can write words and draw pictures to remind
us of what the words say. (Devi's fabulous work!)
The horses sport their Fruit Loop rainbow necklaces,
with every color in the rainbow!
Can we eat them? (Maybe later)
Saud, Lani & Alessandra work diligently on their sun packets
Devi has conquered the sun maze
I love the warm sun!
and thank goodness the sun came out for...
