Reception 1 students now make up two groups: the Horses (younger children), and the Tigers (older and more capable children). Students chose their own group names and VOTED on them. We talked about Election Day in the USA, where Americans VOTE for President. Congratulations President Obama!

Because we are now in NoVember, we are in the eleVenth month of the year,
and NoVember 6 was Election Day in the United States of America -- when Americans Voted, we talked a lot about the letter V. Many words begin with V,
including vampire, violets, vase, vest, viking, and vacation.
We did different activities with the letter V. You can practice saying
English V words with your children. German speakers
tend to pronounce "V" as a "W" sound, like "wampire."
Hugo and Alessio, members of the Tigers group,
write in the letter V in front of V words.
