In Reception 1 this week, we learned and talked about the letter Q, and the many words that start with Q, like "quilt" and "quiet." We got two new children this week: Emily from Germany, and Saud from Saudi Arabia.
We had several guests in our classroom this week, including the fabulous soloist-turned-duet-turned singing Italian trio -- Francesca, Rossana, and Milla -- to teach us the Chicken Dance in italiano! Also, Miss Jolian's mom came on Friday to show us the beautiful quilts that she makes, and to talk about how and why quilts are made. We are a lucky group. We have more guest speakers than any other classroom in the school!
On Friday, we had Pretzel Day and went ice-skating -- two big adventures into the world outside MIS, together as a group. Life is good.
First big news of the week: Hugo lost his first tooth!
He's the first child in R1 to lose a tooth,
and he told us all about it.
