Turkeys & Thanksgiving Week (November 19-21, 2012)


This short holiday week in Reception 1, we learned about the first Thanksgiving in America. We also colored turkeys, wrote what we are thankful for, made turkeys out of our hands and feet, and decorated turkey cookies.

If you want to talk with your child about how Thanksgiving began, older Reception 1 students should be able to tell you the story -- one many Americans may not know! Here are some links to video, if you would like to watch with your child:

feathers and a turkey body
