Dr. Seuss' Birthday (March 4-8, 2013)

On March 2, Dr. Seuss (Theodore Geisel) would have turned 109 years old. Dr. Seuss wrote so many great children's books in English -- many of which have been translated into other languages. We celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday all week long in Reception 1 with guest readers, fun art projects, rhyming words, and green eggs and ham. Also this week, we went to the Schulkino presentation of "Lotte and the Moonstone Secret" at the Rhein-Neckar-Zentrum.

 Miss (now Mrs.!) Meghan reads
The Cat in the Hat Comes Back, in Spanish

 Jacob reads  his pocket-sized Seuss

Hugo's mommy read us Green Eggs & Ham

Cody read us her small version of Hop on Pop

Joshua's daddy read Oh the Places You'll Go

Mika's brother Nick read The Shape of Me and Other Stuff

Ms. Fathema read us Fox in Socks
which is FULL of tongue twisters!
She was happy when she was finished!

Ella from Reception 2 read One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish

On Friday, we got dos versions of Green Eggs and Ham
one in Spanish (Huevos verdes con jamรณn)

and one in English, read by Finn's dad
